References to "the Service" mean the VolcanoTracker iOS application, the associated backend API, and any related websites operated by Gaetano Cerrito, including this one.
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service after these terms have been presented to you, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may only use the Service with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
We track which version of these terms you have accepted. If we publish a materially updated version, the app will ask you to review and accept the new terms before you can continue using the Service.
VolcanoTracker lets you track personal income, expenses, and transfers across multiple accounts in multiple currencies. It provides budgeting tools, spending analytics, and — on supported devices — AI-assisted receipt scanning powered entirely on-device.
We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature at any time, with reasonable notice where feasible.
The Service is intended for personal finance tracking only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make.
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at info.volcanotracker@volcanointeractive.com if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
You may not create more than one account per person. Accounts created using automated means or on behalf of others without their consent are prohibited.
You own your data. All financial data you enter into VolcanoTracker — transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and notes — belongs to you. We process it solely to provide and improve the Service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, transmit, and process your data solely for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence ends when you delete your account and all your data has been purged from our systems in accordance with our data retention policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal financial data with advertisers or any other third parties, except as described in our Privacy Policy (e.g. payment processors, infrastructure providers operating under strict data processing agreements).
You can request a full export of your data, or request deletion of your account and all associated data, by contacting us at info.volcanotracker@volcanointeractive.com. We will complete such requests within 30 days.
If VolcanoTracker offers paid features in the future, those will be offered as auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple's payment terms and refund policies apply to all in-app purchases. We do not process payment card data directly.
Pricing and feature availability may vary by region. Any subscription prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law.
If a paid tier is introduced, existing users who joined before pricing was implemented will be given reasonable advance notice and a transition period during which they can continue using the Service for free or choose to subscribe.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, and may be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities where required.
The VolcanoTracker name, logo, app design, source code, and all associated content are owned by Gaetano Cerrito and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property beyond the limited licence necessary to use the Service.
If you believe any content in the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at info.volcanotracker@volcanointeractive.com with details of the alleged infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or financial loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us at info.volcanotracker@volcanointeractive.com. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have materially breached these terms, your use poses a security risk, or we are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, all licences granted to you under these terms cease immediately. Sections 5 (to the extent of any surviving licence), 8, 9, 12, and 13 survive termination.
We may update these terms from time to time. Each version is identified by its effective date, shown in the header above.
For material changes — those that affect your rights or obligations in a meaningful way — we will notify you through the app at least 14 days before the new version takes effect. You will be asked to review and actively accept the updated terms. If you do not accept, you may delete your account before the new terms take effect; continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.
For non-material changes (such as clarifications, corrections, or new features that do not alter your obligations), we will update the effective date and publish the new version here. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.
In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at info.volcanotracker@volcanointeractive.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy, subject to any mandatory alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available under the law of your country of residence.
